QUETTA: A court of the judicial magistrate has sent arrested finance secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani on a 14-day remand and handed him over to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) for further investigation into the corruption case. A NAB team brought Mushtaq Raisani to the court of judicial magistrate here on Saturday. The NAB requested the court to grant 14-day remand of the accused for investigation into the case pertaining to huge financial embezzlement of government funds. The court after conducting preliminary hearing into the request of the NAB, gave the remand of the accused. The NAB officials told the court that the accused embezzled government funds from 2013 to 2015 and hided them in his house. The NAB said that over Rs 700 million cash including local and foreign currency was recovered from his house, and added that apart from cash, gold jewelry weighing several kilograms was also recovered.
