KARACHI: Sindh Education and Literacy Minister Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar said on Tuesday that cheating culture in examinations was destroying the fabric of education system and now it was the collective responsibility of parents, teachers, all stakeholders and every individuals of the society to play their part in eliminating this menace form education.
While speaking with the media in Sindh Assembly on Tuesday, He said that class one to class eight examinations were almost over; however, the main task, the examinations for secondary and higher secondary classes, was ahead, adding that before holding these examinations, they had to make arrangements to curb cheating in the examinations.
The provincial minister added, “The future of the country depends upon the proper training of new generation and we are supposed to play our role in this regard.” He directed all schools and collegesdirectors, heads of secondary and higher secondary boards across the province to make foolproof arrangements, including proper security arrangements to curb cheating culture in the coming examinations.
He warned that action would be taken against externals and internals of the centres if the news of cheating was reported. He said,“Cheating in examinations meant dark future for our country so we must discourage it at all cost.”
