ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan will resume hearing of Imran Khan disqualification case pertaining allegations of offshore companies and foreign funding against him.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Hanif Abbasi filed a petition seeking disqualification of PTI chief and Secretary General Jahangir Tareen on charges of hiding offshore companies and administering party affairs via foreign funding in November 2016.
A three-member bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar and comprising Justice Umar Ata Bandial and Justice Faisal Arab, will resume hearing of the case today with PML-N lawyer Akram Sheikh and PTI laywer Anwar Mansoor Khan forwarding their arguments.
The petitioner has also accused that Khan had intentionally hid his purchase of a luxury apartment in Islamabad in his declaration of assets for tax year 2014.
