ISLAMABAD: Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir said that Pakistan is committed to have a robust economic engagement with Bahrain.
Addressing Pakistan-Bahrain Business Opportunities Conference in Islamabad on Thursday, the minister said the two countries were already cooperating in different fields.
Dastgir said Pakistan faced the worst kind of terrorism, but the people of Pakistan demonstrated unique resilience and strength in facing the challenge.
He said it is because of this, that today Pakistan has moved out of the dark period and entered a brighter phase.
The minister added peace is not just in Islamabad but also in places like Karachi, Balochistan and tribal areas.
Later, addressing a press conference, the minister said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project would take Pakistan to new heights of progress and prosperity adding that CPEC has become the focus of all eyes.
Dastgir said foreign investors are taking keen interest for investment in diverse sectors in Pakistan.
The commerce minister said that the country is heading in the right direction and entire world is acknowledging Pakistan’s economic gains.
The overall law and order situation in the country has improved as well.
