LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shehbaz Sharif exchanged Eid greetings with Turkish President Tayyab Erdogan on Friday.
The two leaders wished a joyous and happy Eid to one another via a telephone conversation, while they also pondered upon the relationship between Pakistan and Turkey.
President Erdogan also inquired about former PM Nawaz Sharif and regarding the health of Nawaz’s wife, Kulsoom Nawaz, who was placed on a ventilator earlier today after she suffered from a cardiac arrest.
Moreover, the Turkey President lauded Pakistan’s support for the Palestine cause at the United Nations (UN), while he also forwarded good wishes for stability and prosperity of Pakistan.
Shehbaz also extended his best wishes to President Erdogan for the upcoming elections there on June 24.
Separately, the PML-N President also exchanged Eid greetings with Turkish Prime Minister, Binali Yildirim, and discussed Pakistan-Turkish relations.
